This really resonates with me, because I finished writing a book on a niche sport last fall. It was published by a proper publisher, rather than self published, and there was a 16 stop book tour. That said, it is a spectacularly inefficient way to convey information. I would be interested in further conversations about alternatives because sports in all forms deserves a great deal of good thinking.
